Cainsville City Hall News

The Cainsville City Council met on January 7th, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Cainsville City Hall.

 The City is currently seeking donation for the Cainsville Community Building Stove.  The one at the Community Building now works, but you can not see the oven                 temperature.  Therefore, it makes it really hard to use.  If someone has an electric stove or would like to make monetary donations,  please contact Tara Robbins or Rebecca Deskins. 

The City Council approved the 2014 Budget.

The City Council will be holding two meetings per month, one for regular business on the first Monday of the Month, and the other the Third Monday of the Month to meet with Lucille Lusk to re codify our City Ordinances.

The Methodist Church has donated eight tables and eighty-five chairs to the Cainsville Community Building.  The City Council also agreed to let the Methodist Congregation hold funeral dinners at the Cainsville Community Building. 

The next City Council meeting will be February 10th, 2014 at Cainsville City Hall.



Cainsville Community Betterment

The Cainsville Community Betterment met on Monday January 13th, 2014 at Cainsville City Hall.

  They have purchased LED Replacement Bulbs to fix the Christmas Decorations.

One of the Welcome Signs was incorrect and will be fixed by the Vendor.  They will be put up as soon as the weather      permits.

Sandy Cornelison has applied for two grants for the Cainsville Community Garden.  She will be attending a meeting of the Harrison County Collation on January 22nd, 2014.  The Community Betterment is looking for donations of Plants and Flowers for the Community Garden, please contact Cheyanne Francis or Sandy Cornelison with questions.  

The Community Betterment discussed Carnival Games for the 4th of July Celebration.

They will be setting up a workday to clean up around the J.W. Still building as soon as weather permits.

Their next meeting will be February 11th, 2014 at Cainsville City Hall.





Cainsville Homecoming will be Friday January 24th, 2014.  The Ball game will be against Tri-County starting at 6pm.


The City of Cainsville will be holding a Valentines Party on February 8th starting at 5:30 pm.  We will serve soup and sandwiches, hold a Bake Sale, show a movie (the Croods), and play bingo.  Please join us for this event.
