Cainsville Community Betterment

The Cainsville Community Betterment would like to thank everyone who came out and watched the tractor cruise.  It was very successful for the Betterment, as they made $670.00 from serving lunch.  A big thank you to Sandy Cornelison for getting the food donated for this event.  We would like to thank the Cainsville Fire District for the use of the Fire Station, Help with setting up, and Traffic Control.  We would also like to Thank the Cainsville American Legion for putting up the flags.

The Betterment is going to rebuild the retaining wall at the J.W. Still Gas Station Building.  Jim Binkley is going to order the brick from Girdner Post Lumber.

A Work Day is set for September 29th at 1pm at Cainsville City Hall to refurbish the Christmas Lights.  Any help would be appreciated.

Ashely Woods is going to put “You all come back” on the back of the Cainsville Welcome Signs.  We have also ordered solar lights to be put        beneath the signs.

Storm Siren

We are happy to announce the storm siren is fixed and back in working order.  Thank you to the Volunteer Fire Man and Clint Thomas for making the needed repairs.

Just a reminder: The Whistle is ONLY sounded when there is an immediate danger to the Community.  Our department is instructed by 911 Dispatch and will only sound the alarm when instructed by law enforcement agency's. Not by the National Weather Service or Weather Radio Forecasts.

You should always have a weather radio in your home.  If the power goes out the Siren can not be sounded, as it is run on electricity.

Tornado Warning/Weather Warning-  Constant  Whistle

Fire– 3 or more whistles going up and back down again

Calling Fireman– 3 short whistles

We would also like to remind everyone our Fire  Department is Volunteer and we are always happy to have new  members that would like to serve their  Community.  Fire Meetings are on the First Wednesday of each Month at 7pm at the Cainsville Fire Station.
